Pastor Lance Allen

Lance has been the Senior Pastor of FPCSA since November 2000.  He grew up in Los Gatos, CA before attending Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA, where he earned  a Bachelor of Arts in Music in 1983.  He interned for two years at First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley in music and youth.  Then he went to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church of Newport Beach, CA, where he served for nine years in several areas of ministry including children, youth, music, and college.  Lance earned a Master of Fine Arts in Choral Conducting from UC Irvine before going to Princeton Theological Seminary, NJ, where he earned a Master of Divinity in 1997.  Before coming to FPCSA, Lance served for two and a half years as Interim Pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church of Lakewood, CA.  Lance is married and has two children.  He loves music of all kinds, the beach, the mountains, movies, and the Lakers.

Originally from Veracuz, Mexico, Daniel immigrated to the United States in 1990, after completing his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at Veracruz State University. He then worked in the Environmental Area of Engineering for twelve years all over Southern California. While completing the requirements for his Masters of Divinity (received in 2000), he interned at FPCSA, working with both the youth and senior adult ministries until 2002.  He then transitioned into the role of a “Tent Maker” (like the apostle Paul who made tents and did ministry, a pastor who has a secular job and does ministry) from 2003 to 2005 until he took over the pastoral responsibilities of a full-time associsate Pastor in February 2005.  Daniel is married and has three children. He plays guitar and loves music of all kinds, volleyball, camping, and movies.

Ana comes to FPCSA with quite a bit of excellent experience! Before moving to the U.S. from Mexico, she worked at various churches including one that grew from a home bible-study to over 1500 members in 5 years! She aided in publishing the "New Presbyterian Hymnal"and participated as a member of A.M.E.N. - a program designed to promote higher levels of classical choral performance. She also worked as a free-lance music producer, for companies such as Coca-Cola, Amway, Sears, Disney records, Yamaha Music Foundation and more. We're excited to bring all her experience to share here. She loves spending time with her husband, Hazael and her family.
